People of Our Time
People of Our Time
A colourful, interactive series of illustrated books created to introduce children to the true stories of people who have made a difference in our time. Written in clear, accessible language and brought to life with manga-style illustrations created with the help of artificial intelligence tools, each book explores a real life through key moments, choices and values that can also become opportunities for conversation at home, at school or before bedtime.
Each book combines storytelling and discovery. After the illustrated story, children will find two special sections: Did You Know...?, with facts and useful words to help them better understand the world of the person they have just met, and Let’s Have Fun!, filled with activities such as quizzes, true-or-false questions, word searches, syllables to put together, word puzzles, observation games, drawing activities and other challenges inspired by the story.
The stories take different paths, but they all speak about the world we live in today. Malala and Aziza explore courage, rights and the power of using your voice. Autumn and Boyan show how young people can help protect water and the oceans. Tim tells the story of an idea that gave the Web to the world. José turns cooking into a powerful form of solidarity, while Bob, the boy who would one day become Pope Leo XIV, follows a journey shaped by listening, service and care for others.
