Nina Corbil is the pen name of an author who believes that stories can help children understand the world—and discover their place within it. The People of Our Time is a series of illustrated books for children aged 6 to 12. Each book tells the true story of a contemporary person whose courage, kindness, creativity, perseverance or commitment has helped make the world a better place. 

Alongside engaging stories, every volume includes educational activities that encourage curiosity, empathy, critical thinking and active learning.

The books were originally published through Amazon KDP. They are now being gradually republished through Lulu.com  and Google Books, where the collection is steadily becoming available in its updated editions.
